Sytske Hoogterp (Gaastmeer 1989) is beeldend kunstenaar.
Ze werkt met fotografie, film en installatie en onderzoekt hoe mens, landschap en architectuur zich tot elkaar verhouden. Opgegroeid tussen de Friese meren is haar blik gevormd door water, ruimte en seizoenen.
Die vroege ervaring van stilte en openheid klinkt door in haar werk, als een gevoel van aarding en verbondenheid met het landschap. Vanuit aandacht voor ritme, licht en tijd zoekt ze naar momenten waarin het onzichtbare voelbaar wordt: een herinnering, een verstilling, een beweging tussen binnen- en buitenwereld. Met haar werk probeert ze een ervaring te vangen die voorbij woorden gaat.

sytske hoogterp (gaastmeer, 1989) is a visual artist. Working with photography, film and installation, she explores the shifting relationship between humans, landscape and the architectures that shape our sense of place. Raised among the Frisian lakes, her perspective was formed by water, openness and the quiet rhythm of the seasons. That early sense of stillness and spaciousness continues to echo through her practice, as an undercurrent of grounding and belonging to the land. Guided by an attentiveness to rhythm, light and time, she seeks moments in which the intangible becomes briefly visible. a memory surfacing, a pause, a subtle meeting between the inner and outer world. In her work, she aims to hold a feeling that exists beyond language.
